James Taylor, Paul Simon + More Set To Play Benefit Concert For Texas Hurricane Relief

Several big name talents are banding together to put on a massive concert in Texas, for an amazing cause! The huge benefit event will take place on Friday, September 22nd, and the money being raised goes toward the “Rebuild Texas Fund,” intended to help communities affected by the recent disaster of Hurricane Harvery. The description on the event’s official website says that a Texas-sized disaster requires a Texas-sized response, and they’re certainly providing one!

The star-studded spectacle will feature appearances by Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, and many more fabulous artists. The full lineup is available on their website, and tickets go on sale today through the same webpage.

The money raised will be used for health and housing; schools and child care; workforce and transportation; and capital for rebuilding small businesses. The charity event’s goal is to raise a total of $100 million in relief. At the time of writing, they’re nearly halfway there, with an impressive $44 million already raised.

During these difficult times, it’s continually reassuring to see the good in people. When disaster strikes, we all step up to take care of our neighbors and work together for the good of us all. This is one of those times, and if you’re able to give anything to help those affected by the recent hurricanes, we encourage you to do so. Remember, we’re all in this together!
