Hear A New Gregg Allman Song, “My Only True Friend”

A new lyric video has just been released for the song “My Only True Friend” by the late, great Gregg Allman. The famous Allman brother unfortunately passed away in May of this year due to liver cancer. Shortly before his passing, Allman entered FAME Studios in Alabama to record his final album,¬†Southern Blood, to be released posthumously this September.

The first single from that album, “My Only True Friend,” has been turned into a lyric video. The lyrics are complemented by comforting natural imagery, shots of audio equipment, and photos of the musician from throughout his long and prolific career. The whole video is a very moving tribute to Gregg, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear the rest of the album. Gregg Allman had a massive impact on music, and his legacy will continue for years to come. Without further ado, here’s the new video:

Finally, we’d like to mention that Gregg Allman was instrumental in establishing the annual Peach Music Festival held each summer in nearby Scranton, PA! This year’s festival is currently happening, and will feature a massive tribute to Gregg featuring several different artists. We hope all of our friends attending the festival are having a great time!
